My Favorite Infant

High Chair

Why I like the Peg Perego Prima Pappa DT
High Chair:
A high chair is a baby item that you will use
at least 2 or 3 times a day for several years to come. Firstly, it
must be safe. I like the Prima Pappa's 5-point harness system and
its straddle safety bar. This harness helps keep your baby securely
in the seat and the safety bar prevents baby from slipping out.
Unlike many other models, this model's safety bar is part of the seat
mechanism instead of being attached to the tray.
If you have ever fed an infant, you know that it can and will get
messy! I look for a seat that is easy to clean. This high
chair is easy to clean. The dual padding can be tossed in your
washing machine and it's as good as new and the body can be wiped down
with a sponge and warm sudsy water.
Cleaning TIP: Of course there are crevices that are difficult to
get to on the Prima Pappa and the safety harness is a chore to clean but
this is common to most high chairs and not easily prevented. I
suggest taking the chair outside periodically to hose it down. This
is a quick way to clean the crevices. For the harness, I used to use
a little bit of soft scrub (avoid contact with fabric) and that worked
well for me.
I love the fact that this model comes with wheels. I had a
stationary model with my girls and I used to have to carry it over to the
kitchen when I was putting away groceries or dishes and it was
inconvenient. With this model, baby can move with you. All
babies love to watch their parents and this high chair makes this easy and
is comfortable for baby too. When you want the chair to be
stationary, you can lock the wheels.
The Peg Perego Prima Pappa high chair is one of the pricier models but
I feel that the many useful features: 5-pt. safety harness, safety
bar, solid construction, easy clean-up, portability, recline positions,
double trays, swivel wheels with lockable brakes, and the stylish, sleek
design make it worth the extra money. This is a top of the line
durable high chair that can be passed down from one child to the next.
