Why I like the Britax Roundabout
Convertible Car
Seat with LATCH:
Firstly and most importantly, the Britax
Roundabout is a top rated car seat for safety. It is easy to install
correctly which is a huge plus if you've ever struggled with a car seat
that doesn't fit correctly. It has significantly more padding than
most of the other car seats in its class which adds to baby's comfort.
It provides good head support and it is fairly easy to properly adjust and
tighten the harness when in the rear-facing position. It is not as
wide as other car seats or as high and does not interfere with your
driving view and allows for a more comfortable ride for other backseat
passengers. It is an attractive seat and Britax offers a wide
selection of patterns. (I think there are about 13 car seat patterns in all.)
Tips: If you live in a very warm climate, as I do, you may
consider purchasing a car seat cover. The car seat
cover that it comes with can become warm possibly due to the extra
padding. An all cotton car seat cover should keep baby from becoming
too warm.
Also, although this car seat is recommended from
birth, I prefer an infant carrier for the first few months. This
seat, like most other convertible car seats, does not incline enough and
may leave baby's body propped forward. If you still plan on using
this seat from birth on, you may consider purchasing a Snuzzler to fill in
the gaps and help baby fit more securely and comfortably.
